Medico-Legal & Court Experiences:
He prepares on average 300 - 400 reports per annum on injury and medical negligence cases; the distribution being approximately 45% claimant, 30% defence cases and 25% as Single Joint Expert. He averages 5 Court appearances per annum, with his evidence being accepted over 80% of cases in the past year in where he has been called to trial. He has a database with settlement values, but this is not quoted, as the individual cases vary, although most cases are in five to six figure awards. The practice is beginning to show a bias more towards 50/50 defence to claimant work and if it is felt a case is unsustainable, the practice is to advise the instructing solicitors, rather than continue with what are felt to be unreasonable expectations.
Lectures to Irish Law Society and Pathways to Progress Eire 2017. 2018. 2019
He continues in Medicolegal practice and carries out Medico-Legal Clinics in Birmingham, Brighton, 10 Harley Street, London, St. John Street, Manchester, Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital, Sheffield, and Rosebank Surgery, Gloucester.
